The Shrouded House By Lifespaces Group
The Shrouded House is one of the limited edition designs of the ‘Auhaus Release’, designed by Auhaus Architecture and built by contemporary builder Lifespaces Group. In keeping with the Lifespaces model of exclusivity, only ten builds of this design will be completed before the plans are retired forever.
The Shrouded House is a compact double storey home perfect for smaller blocks, and is distinguished by simplicity, utility and beauty.
The second storey of the Shrouded House defines the design with its finely battened screen running the length of the upper level. This draws filtered light into the interior spaces whilst providing privacy from neighbouring properties. The lightweight screen acts in counterpoint to the solid brick walls of the ground floor, creating a pleasing contrast of light and heavyweight materials.
The ground floor wraps around a central courtyard accessible from the living spaces, creating a strong connection to the outdoors. The ground floor offers zoned living with master bedroom, living room, dining, kitchen, laundry, home office and guest bedroom.
The second storey features two further bedrooms, a bathroom and another living space. All have direct access to a deck running the length of the second story, with views down to the internal courtyard. The inner courtyard provides a secondary garden aspect when coupled with a rear garden and is the perfect space for outdoor entertaining.
The newest design embraces signature Auhaus design features including large windows and external doors, amplifying the sense of natural light throughout the home.
The gourmet kitchen has been installed with premium Swiss appliances from VZug and is equipped with a full scullery for optimal storage. Sintered stone surfaces are by Neolith, with hand crafted Sussex tapware and cabinetry by Fenix For Interiors.
Combining thoughtful design and modern practicality, the Shrouded House embraces relaxed everyday living.
Other key highlights of the Shrouded House include a formal guest powder room, a free-standing limestone bath, and a second separate living area.
